Parker’s, a nationally-recognized convenience store leader with 32 retail locations throughout southeast Georgia and coastal South Carolina, announced that Inc. ranked the company on its annual Inc. 500|5000 Fastest Growing Companies list.

This marks the second consecutive year Parker’s has been included on this elite list, which includes top companies like Microsoft, Timberland, Intuit, Oracle and Zappos.com.

“We’re grateful to Inc. and to our loyal customers for making this honor possible,” said Parker’s president and CEO Greg Parker. “At Parker’s, we are currently preparing for explosive growth in 2014 and beyond. We hope to continue to be one of the nation’s fastest-growing companies, delivering the ultimate service, the lowest prices and the finest quality to our customers every day.”

The 2013 Inc. 500/5000 list, which will officially be unveiled in the September 2013 issue of Inc., marks the most competitive group of companies in the list’s history. To make the cut, companies needed to achieve significant sales growth between 2009 and 2012. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2009 and were required to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent as of Dec. 31, 2012.

The winners will also be recognized at the 32nd Annual Inc. 500|5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony on Oct. 10-12, 2013 at the Gaylord National in Washington, D.C.

Founded in 1976, Parker’s has earned accolades for its PumpPal program, which has saved Parker’s customers nearly $3 million since the program first launched in February of 2011. Today, the PumpPal program has nearly 70,000 members throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

Parker’s also donates one cent of every gallon of gas purchased at all of its convenience stores on the first Wednesday of the month to community schools through the Fueling the Community program. The company’s charitable initiative officially launched in the fall of 2011 and has donated money to public and private schools in every community where Parker’s does business.

Parker’s currently operates 32 convenience stores across the region and plans to open additional locations in Chatham, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties.
