In its 26th year, the trade show is set to feature 140 booths representing 251 manufacturers.
The year was 1962 when the Beatles, John, Paul, George and Ring began performing and recording some of the most popular songs of all time. S. Abraham & Sons (SAS) will present its 2012 Vendor Exhibit and Trade Show, The Magical Mystery Tour, to honor of the 50th anniversary of The Beatles.
DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Mich., the site of the 26th annual show, will feature 140 booths, representing 251 manufacturers. Twenty-one of these suppliers will represent new lines for SAS. A new customer ordering system will allow each customer, chain and independent, to take home their order information on a USB flash drive.
Approximately 1,500 stores are expected to be represented by buyers at this year’s show. The show opens on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 9 a.m. for multi-store owners and at 2 p.m. for all customers. Following dinner, customers and vendors will be entertained by Yesterday: a Beatles Tribute Band. The show re-opens for all customers on Friday, Feb. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Show will feature an array of packaged convenience and food service items, displayed within the show convenience store, as well as at vendor booths. New merchandising concepts and fixtures will be featured within the show store. Fruit Ridge Farms, the SAS proprietary fresh program, will showcase a variety of sub sandwiches, including the new meatloaf sub, wedge sandwiches, along with side and dinner salads. Fresh fruits and produce are also an important part of the program. Beantown, the SAS proprietary coffee program, is always a popular exhibit, as well as “Hot off the Grill,” the SAS proprietary roller grill program featuring Nathan Hot Dogs.
