NACS and McIntosh are developing industry-specific programs to help NACS members meet ADA responsibilities.
The agreement provides NACS members with access to customized and specific solutions using McIntosh’s existing branded offer.
“The McIntosh Group is pleased to be selected by NACS, and we look forward to providing our talent and expertise to NACS members,” said Brad Gaskins, a partner at The McIntosh Group who leads the company’s ADA consulting efforts.
The McIntosh Group’s ADA compliance program is designed to help retailers navigate the slew of new requirements that could affect them as part of the updated Americans with Disabilities Act. Beginning March 15, 2012, any new construction in which the last building permit was issued or certified, or any alterations commenced after March 15, 2012, must comply with the new ADA regulations.
NACS and McIntosh are working together to review compliance requirements and develop industry-specific programs to help NACS members address their ADA responsibilities.
“Helping members navigate the increasingly complex new regulations regarding ADA accessibility and proper steps to take to avoid litigation is a major focus for NACS,” said NACS Director of Products & Services Doug Spencer. “With expertise in accessibility requirements, providing surveys, solutions and consulting services to businesses, The McIntosh Group’s capabilities are a perfect fit for NACS members.”
