Larry The Cable Guy The Beer

Small brewer unveils new beverage named after popular comedian.

Rednecks rejoice! Larry the Cable Guy, popular comedian and actor, will now be immortalized in beer form with the release of a beer dedicated to his brand of redneck humor. The new beer, called--you guessed it--"Git-R-Done" is the brainchild

of independent brewers Schilling Bridge Winery and Microbrewery.

Owners of the brewery, Mike Schilling and his wife Sharon, decided to make the product as a tribute to the celebrity who hales from Pawnee Neb., the hometown of the brewer. The brewers approached Larry, whose real name is Dan Whitney, about the product and gave him a tour of the facilities. The comedian gave his full support.

Schilling told the Associated Press that the beer is made from high-quality ingredients to provide more "flavor and body" than many popular, corporate-made beers.

"Rednecks love quality, too," he said. The Schillings feel that the beer will be a hit among Whitney's large fanbase.
