Norbest, a foodservice and retail turkey processor recently named Dr. Hank Huang as director of research & development.
The announcement was made by Norbest Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Robert Wangerien.
Huang brings with him 16 years of experience in the food industry, including his most recent position as director of R&D at Hain Pure Protein. During his tenor there he was responsible for redesigning the bulk deli line, the implementation of a new product tracking system and he worked closely with marketing on many new product introductions. Prior to his time at Hain Pure Protein, Huang held numerous QA and R&D positions with FMC BioPolymer., Armour/Ekrich and ConAgra Foods.
At Norbest, Huang will continue his focus on new product innovation, line extensions, product enhancements and new turkey processes. “Hank adds an impressive list of skills to our company,” said Wangerien. “He has a clear vision of the Norbest brand and our premium position in the marketplace.”
Huang has earned both a Ph.D in Food Science and a master’s degree in Nutritional Science/Hospitality at the University of Nebraska. He and his wife Amy along with the younger of their two daughters will all be headed west to enjoy their new home in Utah.
