Parker’s recently celebrated the official grand opening two new state-of-the-art locations in Metter, Ga. and Bluffton, S.C.
Area dignitaries helped cut the ribbon at the newest Parker’s stores on Dec. 2.
The Metter store, located at 300 S.W. Broad Street, is the first Parker’s in Candler County. The Bluffton store, located at 6200 Jennifer Court, is the fifth Parker’s in Beaufort County.
Both Parker’s locations feature discounted gasoline as well as fountain drinks with the company’s signature Chewy Ice, fresh-brewed ice tea, gourmet coffee blends, frozen drink flavors, 28-degree beer and more. Parker’s currently employs more than 400 individuals throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
“At Parker’s, we believe in supporting small towns like Metter and Bluffton,” said Greg Parker, president and CEO of The Parker Cos. “We look forward to being part of both communities for many years to come.”
The company’s PumpPal program, which offers discounts of up to 10 cents on every gallon of gas purchased, has saved customers more than $3.4 million since the program first launched in February of 2011. Today, the PumpPal program has more than 78,000 members throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
Parker’s features its 1-Cent Wednesday Fueling the Community program at both locations. On the first Wednesday of every month, Parker’s sets aside one cent of every gallon of gas purchased to donate back to local schools. PumpPal members can designate which area school they would like their donation to benefit.
Parker’s currently operates 33 convenience stores across the region and plans to open additional locations in Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties.
