Shell has announced the launch of its second annual “Ultimate Enthusiast” Contest, the search for the most die-hard automotive enthusiast in the U.S.
Entries will be judged by a panel of long-standing automotive insiders and experts, including Roger Penske, founder and chairman of Penske Corp., Craig Jackson, CEO of Barrett-Jackson Auction Co.; amongst others. New to the judging panel this year is Harold Craige, the 2012 Ultimate Enthusiast.
From Aug. 6 to Sept. 17, customers can enter the contest by sharing the stories and photos that best exemplify their automotive passion on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/Shell/app_455726847779391.
· The top three contest finalists will be flown to Scottsdale, Ariz. for a three-day, VIP experience at the 43rd Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction to be held Jan. 12-19, 2014, including access to the world famous car auction and an invitation to Barrett-Jackson’s opening night gala on Jan. 13, 2014 where the grand prize winner will be announced.
· One grand prize winner and a guest will receive an Ultimate Enthusiast week in Italy, including an exclusive driving experience with Ferrari in its home town of Maranello, Italy.
This year, enthusiasts also have the opportunity to win $5,000 of Shell V-Power Gift Cards for his or her car club.
All finalists will also receive a year’s worth of Shell V-Power Premium Gasoline, Shell’s most advanced fuel designed to deliver optimum performance. Should the Grand Prize winner be unable to redeem the Grand Prize they will be offered $10,000 in Shell V-Power Premium Gasoline.
Also this year, all photos will be judged by the Joey Logano Foundation and one lucky winner may have his/her photo featured in its 2014 calendar and will receive a $100 Shell V-Power Gift Card.
