Fresh off its eleventh consecutive year as the winner of Best Milk in the York Daily Record/Sunday News’ annual Best of York reader’s poll, this June, Rutter’s Dairy celebrates National Dairy Month.
Central Pennsylvania’s love affair with Rutter’s milk has been a long one—92 years to be exact—beginning in 1921 when George and Bud Rutter sold the first 15 quarts of Rutter’s milk door-to-door from their horse-drawn wagon.
Guided by the standard of excellence and high quality products, and under the third generation of family leadership, Rutter’s Dairy collects its milk exclusively from local dairy farms and produces delicious milk products on-site at the original dairy farm in York, Pa., which dates back to 1747.
Rutter’s reputation for wholesome products has led to its expansion across the mid-Atlantic region, delivering daily to customers in Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. All in addition to Pennsylvania, where customers can also pick up their favorite Rutter’s milk products at 58 convenient farm store locations.
