Iced coffee sales at participating Cumberland Farms c-stores to help benefit U.S. Children’s Hospital Boston.
During the month of May, Cumberland Farms is set to raise funds to benefit Children’s Hospital Boston through the convenience store retailer’s Pediatric Care Campaign.
Participating Cumberland Farms stores in Massachusetts and Rhode Island will donate five cents per cup from its iced coffee sales to benefit one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the U.S. Children’s Hospital Boston offers a complete range of health care services for children from birth through 21 years of age and is home to the world’s largest research enterprise based at a pediatric hospital.
An event to mark the kickoff to the fundraiser will take place on Friday, May 4 at 11:30am at the Cumberland Farms store located at 1001 Pleasant Street in Bridgewater, Mass.
“We are so grateful to Cumberland Farms for their continued support of Children’s Hospital Boston,” said Carola Cadley, vice president of corporate development and special events for Children’s Hospital Trust. “The Pediatric Care Campaign will help advance Children’s Hospital Boston’s mission of providing lifesaving care to children throughout the greater Boston area and around the world.”
“Our vision for the Pediatric Care Campaign was to help top-notch pediatric centers like Children’s Hospital Boston continue to enhance the health and well-being of the children and families in our local community,” said Cumberland Farms Retail President Ari Haseotes. “Cumberland Farms hopes that our contribution, along with the help of our customers, will make a difference in the lives of the young people and families Children’s Hospital Boston serves.”
The Cumberland Farms Pediatric Care Campaign kicked off in February in Vermont and New Hampshire to benefit Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and then moved to Maine to benefit The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in March. The fundraising program will continue across most of Cumberland Farms’ service area through July. The campaign has raised nearly $34,000 thus far.
Since formalizing its Corporate Giving Program five years ago, Cumberland Farms has donated millions of dollars in cash and products to causes that benefit thousands of young people, through scholarships, direct-to-school programs, hunger relief, local fundraising and more.
