NACStech Opening Session Speaker Announced

Registration is now open for NACStech 2012.

Social media guru Paul Ollinger has been announced as the opening general session speaker for NACStech, which will take place May 21-23, 2012, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tenn.

Registration opened on Jan. 17 for NACStech, the industry’s most comprehensive event for top retail and supplier leaders gather and discuss ways to improve convenience retailing through technology solutions. More than 1,200 attendees are expected for NACStech, which features two general sessions, concurrent CIO Roundtable sessions, more than a dozen focused workshops and 100 exhibits. Ollinger is an Atlanta-based investor and advisor to start-ups in the social media space and is currently CEO of The Absolutely Huge Co. LLC. A 14-year veteran of the online world, Ollinger had leadership positions at LAUNCH.com, Yahoo! and Facebook, and was an early member of Facebook’s sales and management teams. He will discuss lessons he learned at Facebook and how a bold, new vision can lead to success, whether at Facebook or at the retail level.
 
Previous NACStech general session speakers have included Sir Timothy Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web; Malcolm Gladwell, author of The Tipping Point, Blink and Outliers; Frank Abagnale, author of the autobiography Catch Me If You Can; Bill Nye, best known for his long-running TV show Bill Nye the Science Guy; Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara, members of the MythBusters “Build Team”; B.J.
