“We’re excited to offer General Mills products to our customers,” says Dot Foods spokesperson.
Dot Foods, a national food re-distributor, has partnered with General Mills Convenience Store Division for the distribution of dry products to its convenience store distributors.
General Mills is home to some of the most recognizable food brands, such as Cheerios, Betty Crocker and Pillsbury.
Dot’s first ship date of General Mills dry products is set for Jan. 16, 2012. With this new partnership, convenience store distributors will be able to purchase General Mills products such as Gardetto’s, Chex Mix, Bugles and Nature’s Valley from Dot Foods.
In addition to servicing customers with an order minimum of one case, Dot’s weekly deliveries and short lead-times enable distributors to respond faster to retailers’ needs, while increasing inventory turns.
“We’re excited to offer General Mills products to our customers,” said Jeff Adams, senior business development manager of Dot Foods. “We think our convenience store distributors will appreciate having access to these products and we look forward to the partnership with General Mills.”
Recently, Dot expanded its Mt. Sterling, Ill., warehouse to add capacity for new manufacturers, as well as additional items for existing manufacturers. Dot added 136,000 square feet and reconfigured its current dry warehouse.
