On National Hot Dog Day Thorntons serves up 40 cent hot dogs.
July 23 marks National Hot Dog Day, and Thorntons is set to celebrate by offering Ball Park hot dogs with a variety of toppings for less than a dollar at participating stores.
Customers are limited to two specially-priced hot dogs upon their visit. The event starts at 10 a.m. on July 23 and closes at 3 p.m.
The company encourages hot dog lovers to attend the special.“It’s summertime, when the fun never ends,” said Matt Thornton, CEO and president of Thorntons Inc. “We love our customers and our customers love our fun-filled seasonal promotions such as ‘National Hot Dog Day’.”
National Hot Dog Day was created by the Washington, DC-based National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, a project of the American Meat Institute. From coast to coast this mid-summer holiday is celebrated with activities, such as hot dog eating contests, bun runs, wiener dog races, hot dog cart races and owner-dog look-alike contests.
Thorntons operates 163 gasoline and convenience stores, car washes and travel plazas in five states: Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Tennessee.
