Convenience stores look to Nexxus Group solutions for category visibility via scan based trading.
Kroger, Holiday Stationstores and GasAmerica all recently separately partnered with Nexxus Group to utilize its scan-based trading programs.
Kroger enlisted Nexxus to provide the systems and customer service for scan based trading at its 786 c-stores in 18 states under five banners—Kwik Shop Inc., Loaf N’ Jug, Quik Stop Markets Inc., Tom Thumb Food Stores, Turkey Hill Minit Markets and Smith’s Express. Implementation began at the Turkey Hill stores on July 6.
Separately, Holiday Stationstores’ outlets based in Minneapolis has made a similar deal with Nexxus to use its scan-based trading programs. Holiday Stationstores operates 300 corporately owned stores, and more than 100 franchise stores located in 10 U.S. states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington and Alaska. This partnership launches on July 18.
GasAmerica also signed with Nexxus Group GasAmerica to make it the exclusive provider of scan based trading programs for its newspaper category. GasAmerica operates 86 stores in Ohio and Indiana. The program begins on Aug. 29, 2011.
More than 150 other c-stores operated by Western Refining Southwest, and 44 outlets with Fastrac Markets signed deals with Nexxus recently.
Scan based trading is when suppliers maintain ownership of inventory within retailers’ warehouses or stores until items are scanned at the point of sale. Nexxus Group program solutions allow retailers category visibility via scan based trading and centralized payment platforms with one point of contact for direct store delivered vendors, eliminating cash payments, consolidating accounts payable while delivering customer service.
