Starting Jan. 3, Pop Rocks lovers are encouraged to vote for their top pop songs as well as the greatest hits of the 70´s, as part of a new sweepstakes opportunity.
The new “U-ROCK” sweepstakes is available on the company´s Web site www.pop-rocks.com, offering consumers the chance to win $100 iTunes Gift Certificates.
This is the first activity of the company´s new marketing plan involving social media and consumer sweepstakes for 2011, which marks Pop Rocks’ 35th anniversary of retail distribution.
Additionally, widespread media coverage throughout the year will generate consumer awareness for the anniversary, and will include radio interviews and new product releases.
Consumers will be encouraged to participate in all the activities through social media interaction and engagement, specially the new official Pop Rocks Facebook page.
