In recognition of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, NOCO Express Stores donated 10 cents from every cup of coffee sold throughout the month to the Susan G. Komen, Western New York Affiliate. NOCO Express guests helped to raise $3,296 for breast cancer education and research.
“Breast cancer touches so many women and families in our community and we extend our sincere thanks to all of our guests who stopped into one of our Express stores to make a purchase and help support the important work of the local Susan G. Komen affiliate,” said Michael Newman, executive vice president, operations at NOCO Energy Corp.
The Western New York Affiliate of Susan G. Komen is dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front. Up to 75% of the affiliate’s net income goes toward funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women. The remaining net income supports the national Komen Grants Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific programs around the world.
NOCO operates more than 30 NOCO Express service stations and convenience stores throughout western New York.
