Landmark Industries Installs Gilbarco Passport POS At 162 Sites

Multi-branded petroleum retailer and wholesaler Landmark Industries of Houston, Texas is installing Gilbarco Passport point of sale (POS) systems at 162 Houston area locations.

“Passport has helped reduce training costs by as much as 18%,” said Chuck Miller, operations manager at Landmark Industries. “The reliability of the product and its availability on a wide range of networks allows us to standardize on this product for all locations.”

Passport’s powerful business tools, rich features, and unique architecture for PCI compliance also contributed to Landmark’s decision to standardize on the POS system, according to Miller.

“Landmark’s experience with a variety of different brands led them to understand the benefits and value of Passport,” said Mikey Kindler, director of POS marketing for Gilbarco Veeder-Root. “Passport’s core feature set is certified on a wide range of networks to enable multi-branded retailers like Landmark to consistently offer similar promotional programs and collect the same kind of data from all their sites. They can operate their business as a whole rather than a collection of sites.”

Passport provides a touch screen interface that minimizes training time, errors and shrinkage.  It provides seamless connectivity and standardization, business information and security features, business growth tools and easy expandability. Remote diagnostics enable most troubleshooting, fixes and software upgrades to be completed without on-site service calls and site downtime.

Gilbarco Veeder-Root distributor and Authorized Service Contractor Petroleum Solutions Inc. of Houston has been instrumental in supporting Landmark’s rollout
