Rutter’s Farm Stores presented a new 2009 Harley-Davidson Iron 883 motorcycle to customer Vicki Landis of York, Pa. this week, concluding the company’s “Fuel Up Free!” summer contest.
Landis accepted the prize at the Rutter’s store at 2125 Susquehanna Trail (at Lightner Road), Manchester Township. The bike is courtesy of Rutter’s and hot dog maker Kunzler & Co.
Landis filled out only one entry form – and not until the contest’s last week. She said she wasn’t even aware of the bike giveaway.
“I thought it was just gas,” she said.
During the contest, which ran May 25-Aug. 30, Rutter’s awarded free gas for one year to eight customers: Lowell Sipe of Red Lion; Brandi Cook of Fayetteville, Franklin County; Deb Rohrbaugh of Dallastown; Schirl Warner of Windsor; April Bortner of York; Jean Leber of Red Lion; Lori Pauline of New Freedom; and Adam Dill of York.
Landis’ name was chosen in a random drawing from among all of the non-gas-winning entries submitted during the contest.
The participating contest sponsors were Pepsi Cola, Coca-Cola, Cadbury Canada Dry, Function Beverage, Snapple, Red Bull, Edy’s Grand Ice Cream, Jack and Jill Ice Cream, Nestle Waters NA, Pennsylvania Lottery, Kunzler & Co., S&D Coffee and Rutter’s Dairy.
