PCATS Appoints New Secretary

The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) today announced that Kraig Adams, director of collaborative customer capabilities of The Coca-Cola Co. has been appointed to serve as Secretary of the PCATS Board of Directors. Adams also serves as vice-chairman of the PCATS Membership & Marketing Committee.

Adams will serve out the remainder of the existing term of Ann Dozier, vice president of collaborative customer capabilities of The Coca-Cola Co., who has served as PCATS Secretary for the past three years.

“Kraig has been a tremendous asset to the organization over the years, so this step enables us to tap even more significantly into his strengths,” said PCATS Executive Director and CEO Thomas Oare. “We value Coca-Cola’s continued commitment to PCATS. Ann has been a member of the board since its inception, and she has generously contributed her time and effort to advance the PCATS mission. We will miss her contribution to the board.”

Among his duties as secretary, Adams is responsible for ensuring that minutes are kept of the proceedings of the board, committees of the board, any other committees of the alliance, and any meeting of the members; ensuring that all notices are duly given in accordance with the provisions of the bylaws or as required by law; being custodian of corporate records and of the seal of the alliance; serving as the chair of the governance committee; and, in general, performing all duties incident to the office of secretary.

“The Coca-Cola Co. is committed to PCATS and will continue to play an active role in the implementation of PCATS standards and in developing future strategies,” Adams said in assuming his new duties.

At Coke, Adams is charged with supporting the development of strategic, collaborative customer solutions leveraging industry standard processes. He works closely with the Coca-Cola Retail Sales team and Coca-Cola’s Bottling partners to ensure Coca-Cola is leading in the development of capabilities that promote supply chain efficiencies and effectiveness as well as retail sales growth. He has been with Coca-Cola for 15 years.
