Atlas Adds Two For Fuel, One For Retail

Atlas Oil Company is growing its ranks again, both on the fuel distribution and retail management sides of its business.

Don Jensen has joined Atlas as vice president of supply, while Greg Bower has joined as biofuels business development director. Both men will be based in Atlas Oil Company’s Houston, Texas, office, where they’ll interact closely with the Taylor, Mich., headquarters.

Jensen will oversee Atlas’ optimization of supply among the Gulf Coast, Chicago and Canadian markets. He has extensive experience in refined products trading, having held positions such as vice president of SemFuel and vice president of petroleum products trading at Louis Dreyfus Energy Services (LDES).

He has also worked at Williams Energy Marketing & Trading and Conoco, and he holds a master’s in business administration (corporate finance) and a bachelor’s in marketing, both from the University of Utah.

Bower joined Atlas’ supply team to enhance the company’s bio-fuel business. He has a strong background in the biofuels industry, most recently as general manager/CEO for Mid-Missouri Energy and director of sales and trading for Global Ethanol/Midwest Grain Processors in Minneapolis.

He holds a bachelor’s in economics and mathematics from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., as well as master’s in finance from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, Ind.

Additionally, having recently expanded its retail fuel locations by 80 sites in less than five months, Atlas has hired Eric Moyer as district retail manager for its Indiana Southern Region. Moyer was hired in August of 2008.

He’ll be overseeing the company’s Indiana sales team and is charged with increasing volume from Atlas’ South Bend, Ind., office.

Moyer previously held positions with Clark Foodservice as territory manger and Dr. Pepper/7-Up Bottling as an area sales manager. He attended Indiana University’s Kokomo campus and resides in the Kokomo area.
