Cumberland Farms Inc. reached deal with Aldata Solution Inc. to use its Apollo Web Publisher, a centralized merchandising collaboration platform for retail space planning. With approximately 1,000 outlets and 7,000 employees, Cumberland Farms will use Web Publisher to manage and distribute planograms, reports and merchandising information at each retail outlet to ensure greater levels of execution of customer-centric assortment and merchandising strategies.
“Apollo Web Publisher enables Cumberland Farms to react more quickly to customer shopping trends, and tailor our assortments based on our customers’ needs,” said Ari Haseotes, president and chief operating officer. “These customer-centric merchandising practices help us to continue our pledge of providing every day value to our customers.”
Apollo Web Publisher lets organizations manage and distribute planograms to all levels of the business responsible for merchandising and new product implementation via the Web. Stores, field execution teams and suppliers receive merchandising information immediately, resulting in increased productivity, profitability and merchandising conformance.
Apollo Web Publisher leads to:
* Removal of products that customers no longer purchase, based on de-selection caused by the economy.
* The ability to tailor assortments based on the needs of price-sensitive consumers and execute to the required customer-centric level.
* The elimination of time, costs and potential user error associated with mass printing and mailing of merchandising information.
Cumberland Farms, which also operates the Gulf fuel brand, manages a network of retail stores, gas stations, and a support system including petroleum, dairy and grocery distribution operations that spans 11 states across the Northeast and Florida.
