p>Des Moines, Iowa-based Kum & Go is planning a store in Neosho, Mo., with construction scheduled to being in spring, Neosho Daily News reported.
Kum & Go spokeswoman Meggan Kring said the convenience store will feature six gas pumps, or “multiple product dispensers,” and three diesel fueling stations.
Neosho was picked as a good location for a new store because of the city’s “good population and employment base,” Kring told the newspaper. “We’re growing in that area.”
Kring also said that U.S. Highway 71 is “the main corridor for car/truck traffic” from Joplin to Bentonville, Ark., which also played a factor in the store’s site selection, as well as the decision to open a store in the City of Springs.
The Neosho Kum & Go will be located less than a quarter-mile from the highway’s exit and be clearly visible by passing traffic, the Daily News reported. There are 12 gas stations within the Neosho city limits.
