Sheetz Inc. said it has opened a store in Greenville, N.C., the fourth in that state for the Altoona, Pa.-based retailer.
Doors officially opened to customers on Halloween, though employees are hosting a grand opening celebration on Nov. 6. As part of the opening-day celebration, Sheetz plans to make a donation to Greenville Parks and Recreation to help the community develop a new golf program for Greenville’s youth.
“Over the past two years people in Greenville have embraced Sheetz and we are happy to continue to grow with the city," said Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing at Sheetz. “As well, Sheetz has a long tradition of being involved in youth-centered activities so we are happy to further our commitment to support the children of Greenville through the parks and recreation department.”
The 5,000 square-foot store will feature all of the industry-leading foodservice programs Sheetz has come to be known for, as well as a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista.
Customers at the new store can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas, whether hot, frozen or iced.
Frozen fruit smoothies will round out the store’s specialty drink menu, as well as premium-brewed self-serve coffees made from 100% Arabica beans in a variety of flavors (Breakfast Blend, Serious Dark Roast, 100% Colombian and Hazelnut).
In addition to its innovative touch-screen order kiosks, the Greenville Sheetz will offer a surcharge-free ATM and a variety of retailer gift and phone cards.
