Retail, restaurant industry form nonprofit networking association

Retail and restaurant industry professionals and those in insurance, law, vending and related industries have united to form the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association (NRRDA), an organization aiming to serve the legal, informational and networking interests of the retail and restaurant industries.

NRRDA said it provides live educational and Web-based seminars focusing on cutting-edge issues relevant to the retail and restaurant industries, and it maintains a qualified roster of attorneys and industry professionals. The organization said it’s committed to developing strategies to reduce the number and severity of claims, manage common risks and enhance defense positions in litigation.

“The National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association is proud to announce its formation, and serves as the first organization of its kind,” said Brian Cafritz, NRRDA president.

“Our board of directors is comprised of shareholders of established law firms across the country who are dedicated to the defense of our industries, and our advisory board is comprised of representatives of some of the largest national retail and restaurant chains,” Cafritz said. “By combining the two groups, we have created a formidable panel of retail and restaurant industry experts who possess incredible insight and professionalism.”

NRRDA membership offers industry professionals benefits including:
