Rutter’s Farm Stores held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday morning to mark the completed expansion and renovation of its store in East Berlin, Pa.
Company representatives were joined by East Berlin officials for the event at the store, which reopened on April 25. Rutter’s also presented a check for $25,000 for the borough’s “Build a Park” project, which will develop a community park on 17 acres of land.
The project nearly doubled the old store’s size, to 4,640 square feet, and increased the number of fueling positions from eight to 14. The store features the company’s latest food service offerings, a self-serve premium-coffee island, seating and a newly introduced bathroom design featuring tiled walls, floating ceiling, music and other upscale amenities.
The store features Rutter’s latest foodservice offerings, including custom stir-fry and fresh-baked rolls. Customers can design their own “oriental bowls” by choosing among chicken, beef and pork, and among fried rice, white rice, noodles and veggies.
The York, Pa. chain operates 51 convenience stores in five Pennsylvania counties.
