BP’s ampm convenience store brand plans to make its mark in Atlanta. To spotlight the arrival of ampm in the Greater Atlanta area, stores will host a month of Guitar Hero play-off events
Throughout March, all would-be rock stars, young and old, will have the chance to unleash their inner guitar hero and battle it out at in-store competitions. The contestants will have the chance to win tickets to an exclusive concert with Atlanta-based rock band, Alter Bridge. The contestant with the highest score at each of the 12 ampm event locations will compete in a live championship play-off–judged by Alter Bridge–that will take place live on April 3.
After crowning ampm’s Atlanta Guitar Hero III champion, customers will be treated to a live performance by the band. Plus, the ampm Guitar Hero winner will receive a new guitar signed by the members of Alter Bridge, an XBOX 360 unit, a new Guitar Hero III game and a basket of ampm Too Much Good Stuff valued at $300.
"ampm makes the convenience store experience quick and fun and it offers great everyday values for busy people on the go,” said Fiona MacLeod, president of BP U.S. Convenience Retail. “The ampm Guitar Hero III Championship is a perfect fit with ampm’s high energy and a great way for ampm to say hello to Atlanta.”
Participants will have the opportunity to play on a first-come, first-served basis beginning March 6.
